How to Introduce Your New Baby to Your Older Children?

Baby birth is nothing less than a celebration. You have given birth to a wonderful new soul. You have to give all your time to this tiny angel. But maintain caution. You also have your older child who may feel awkward and ignored. Take care and try to introduce this new born to the older one in a tactical way.

A mother always loves her children. But due to the new birth, she may be occupied with the needs of the infant. In that case, she may fail to attend the older one. If you feel I am talking about you then you must follow certain guidelines. You must give equal treatment to all your children. This should not just be limited to your heart, because no one can peep inside. It must be in your speech and in your act.

You can talk about the activities that the older one has excelled in school. You can take out old albums when the older one was small and tell him certain stories about him, which would make him aware of your love towards him, then and now.

If the older one is willing to take certain responsibilities, you must delegate him some work. Like, you can tell him to feed the baby with water. You can tell him to get his clothes from the shelf etc. Also time and again make him feel that he is special. You can make him take care of the younger one.
